The Wonderful Everyday (I wish that wasn’t a quote from IKEA!)

Out the window my neighbour is taking her granddaughter with a muslin over the pram like I used to do because it’s the best summer. An older lady walks over to her and peers in to the pram I can’t see her face but I can tell just from the way she is moving she’s cooing at the baby. B is drawing a giraffe puppet which she is going to knit for me because she knows I love giraffes and she’s gorgeous. There is a very handsome young man walking with a new sort of confidence towards the house, he has been to the shop on his own to buy treats for us all because at the end of term, his end of primary school they’re both absolute winners.

There is a mum thinking that she has to capture this moment because she’s just watched her son’s primary school graduation and she cannot believe how unbelievably lucky she is to be sat here on a glorious sunny day with a happy neighbourhood, a happy house and a happy heart.
