Thanks for joining me!
My name is Gemma and I am a mum of two, a gorgeous 4 year old boy (TP) and a squishy 5 month old girl (BP).
I started 2018 9 months pregnant with an incomplete extension and being made redundant due to the company that I had worked for since I was 19 going in to liquidation.
All of this excitement got me thinking and a few months in with a new baby and a new house I realised that I had been given a completely clean slate.
Stepping back and looking at my family, I realised that we had been living a crazy life but one that seems to be so familiar. Getting up rushing to work, rushing home, throwing food and water at the kids and then collapsing on to the sofa.
I grew up in the middle of the countryside spending a considerable amount of my childhood laying in field, climbing trees and making amazing mud pies. Although I genuinely enjoyed my rat run life it was not sustainable in any sense of the word. I feel I have completely lost what it is to be part of the world instead I am just mindlessly running all over it leaving some uncomfortable footprints as I go. Worse still I am dragging my children down the same path.
So, I have decided to start this blog as a way of recording how to rewild my family. I hope that having a blog will be a way for us to record our adventures as well as possibly meeting others along the way.
So eyes wide open, deep breath in, here goes.
